CYCLOCROSS

Cylcocross Clinic Near Syracuse, NY
Held Under USA Cycling Permit # 2006-2092

INTERESTED IN TRYING AND LEARNING ABOUT CYCLOCROSS?

SpokePost.com Cycling (an official USAC club) brings you on-going Wednesday night (until October 4th, then weekend, see full schedule below) cyclocross training sessions and clinics starting on Wednesday Sept 13th at 5:45pm. This will be the kick-off session for 11 cyclocross training sessions. We will be meeting at the Town of Camillus Park (see link to map below) at 5:45pm. It's no problem showing up late.

INSTRUCTION FOR BEGINNERS

Jeremy Burton, a category 2 road cyclist and cyclocross racer, will be on hand to provide basic instructions on general cyclocross skills such as dismounting, crossing barriers, and remounting your bicycle. Questions will be encouraged and answered!!

YOUR BIKE / DISCOUNT ON A NEW BIKE

First, don't have a cyclocross bike? No worries, bring your mountain bike, or "aggressively tired" road bike. Second, we've worked out a deal with Syracuse Bicycle for a SUBSTANTIAL DISCOUNT for cyclocross bikes for any rider who registers for the series (pay the one-time $20 fee)...you must register to receive this discount coupon. I repeat this is a SUBSTANTIAL discount and will save you several hundred dollars off the purchase price of a cyclocross bike. You can only receive this discount by attending this series...

THE COST

We ask that you pay a one-time fee of $20 which will cover insurance, permit fees, trail maintenance and material costs for the duration of the Wednesday night sessions (through November or so). UNDER 20 YEARS OLD RIDES FOR FREE!!

SUBSEQUENT WEEKS

Once everyone is well-instructed and drilled on barrier crossing (after the first week or two) we'll run some actual practice 'cross races during these sessions.
