so.
i was enjoying myself in the men's room before the start of the crit at fitchburg. as i was on my way out some kid i know said "hey larry they f'd up the results from the road race....it says you lost 40 minutes yesterday!!?"

i responded: "hmm yeah i saw that i figured thats about what i lost in the last 20 km of the race. but it doesnt really matter as long as i finished the day." he looked at me confused. almost like he couldnt understand why i didnt care about my own result. i thought about this long and hard the next few days...and then figured out that the results were actually wrong as the group i finished with all lost 10 minutes...and they just missed me from the group...albeit it was the laughing group. im not sure what the point of this story is. i guess i knew that i was working for someone else and it didnt matter what my own result was. there was no point to kill myself for 74th place. thats my story. mike won the green jersey. curt worked on his tan. i put a few hundred more miles on the s4 before i finally sold it this past week.
