Miamisburg, OH --- Coming on the heels of being selected as one of “Ohio’s Best Home Towns” by Ohio Magazine, Miamisburg has been chosen to be the site of this year’s Ohio State Cycling Championships. The 4th Annual TOUR d’Burg, sponsored by Kettering Medical Center – Sycamore, will be held Sunday, July 20, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Top amateur and professional level men and women Criterium racers will compete in USA Cycling sanctioned races.

The one-mile circuit features long straights for speed and drafting and six turns for skill right in historic downtown Miamisburg. Sprint speeds should exceed 40 mph with average speeds ranging 20 to 28 mph depending on the race category. The individual races will range in length from 30 to 60 minutes with fields upward of 50 riders. This exciting event is free and open to the public. For non-racing bike enthusiasts there will be a “Tour Ride” that starts early Sunday morning and will accommodate riding distances on country roads from 25 to 75-miles depending on how far you wish to go. Specialty races will include events for kids of all ages and the annual “Celebrity Race” as well as the popular “Guns & Hoses” event for police and fire departments.

Vendor booths will offer food & beverages, activities for kids, plus cycling merchandise and information all day on the Cinder Path within close proximity of the finish line. Free bike helmets will be available for the kids while quantities last.

This event is a Miamisburg Merchants Association event designed to revitalize the historic downtown Miamisburg area.
