Adageo Energy Raising Money for Haiti

Adageo Energy Pro Cycling Team Sells Jerseys to Benefit Haiti Relief Effort

Los Angeles (January 25, 2010) – The Adageo Energy Pro Cycling Team is contributing to relief efforts in Haiti by donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of its 2010 team clothing to the American Red Cross.

The eagerly awaited kits made by Pactimo for the new, U.S.-based UCI continental team will be available for sale to the public through Sunday, Jan. 31. For each jersey purchased, $3 will be donated to the Red Cross. Also as part of the special fundraising drive, Adageo’s affiliate club, Liquid Cycling, will be giving away a free annual membership with the purchase of each jersey.

Ordering info can be found on the team website:

or the club website:

Adageo Energy Team Director Josh Horowitz said the idea to contribute to such a worthwhile effort made perfect sense with the timing of the sale of the team’s new clothing. The Red Cross is taking the lead on providing a number of valuable services to quake-stricken Haiti.

“When Clay Womack (Adageo Energy Founder) and I put this program together, he always wanted it to be about more than just bike racing,” Horowitz said. “So when he came to me to see how we could use the team to help in Haiti, the timing of the clothing sales was perfect.”

The team jerseys can be purchased for $75 and bib shorts for $85. Other accessories are also available at a deeply discounted rate, including vests ($55), jackets ($69), arm warmers ($19), knee warmers ($22), gloves and caps ($14). Members also receive pro deals on team products, such as Leopard bikes,American Classic wheels and Exustar pedals and shoes.

Adageo Energy Pro Cycling is holding its team training camp in Los Angeles this week and will conclude camp on Sunday, Jan. 31, with a ride in Santa Monica, Calif. The ride is open to people of all ages and abilities in the Southern California cycling community. Exact time and departure location will be announced Friday on:
